Ambassador Nakashima’s Attendance at the Inaugural Meeting of the Yemen Maritime Security Partnership (YMSP) Steering Committee

On 30 November 2024, Ambassador Nakashima represented Japan at the first Steering Committee meeting of the Yemen Maritime Security Partnership (YMSP) held in Riyadh.

The meeting was attended by the EU, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, during which participants reviewed overall progress toward enhancing maritime security in Yemen and discussed priority actions going forward.

Japan remains committed to supporting the Yemeni Coast Guard as part of its efforts to realize a Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP).
