Ambassador Nakashima's Participation in YMSP Conference

On September 16, Ambassador Nakashima participated in the Yemen Maritime Security Partnership (YMSP) conference, led by the UK and Saudi Arabia.
YMSP is an important initiative to support the Yemen Coast Guard, which plays a crucial role in addressing maritime crimes such as smuggling, piracy, and human trafficking, and in maintaining maritime security.
Since 2008, Japan has been supporting the Yemen Coast Guard through JICA and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
We will continue to support the Yemen Coast Guard to promote "Free and Open Indo-Pacific" (FOIP).
