Welcome reception for Ambassador Nakashima

- On April 23, 2025, a reception was held to commemorate the arrival of Ambassador Nakashima. A number of guests attended the reception including from the Yemeni government, and the diplomatic corps.
- In his opening speech, Ambassador Nakashima stated that he is honored to serve as Ambassador of Japan to Yemen, and that he has been deeply moved by the strength and aspiration he witnessed in Yemeni people through his interactions with them since his arrival.
- The Ambassador also reaffirmed Japan's commitment to continuing its support for Yemen’s efforts for the betterment of its people together with all international and local partners.
- Furthermore, the Ambassador mentioned Yemen's participation in Expo Osaka 2025, expressing his hope that this event would provide a good opportunity to deepen mutual understanding between Japan and Yemen.
